Biography

Professor Ben Ahunu is a Professor of Animal Breeding and Biometrics at the Department of Animal Science, School of Agriculture, College of Basic and Applied Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon. He holds a PhD in Animal Breeding. He has teaching and research experience spanning over 33 years nearly half of which period he concurrently held several academic administrative positions as Head, Dean and Provost in the College. He has consulted widely for various international bodies.

Research Intrest

His varied research areas include Livestock Improvement and Animal Breeding, Livestock & Food Security, Animal Growth and Biometrical Techniques in Agriculture. He has lectured in Statistics, Quantitative & Population Genetics. He also provides statistical backdrop for experimental designs and data analysis.
