Bashiru I. I. Saeed hails from Walewale in the Northern Region of Ghana. He attended Ghana Secondary School and Tamale Secondary School where he obtained his GCE ‘O’ level and GCE ‘A’ level certificates respectively. He holds teacher’s Certificate “A” from E. P. Training College. He is also a proud alumnus of Kumasi Polytechnic, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics. He received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2003 and 2009 respectively. Between 2011 and 2014, he studied for a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Statistics at Jiangsu University in China. Bashiru I. I. Saeed is an educationist and has taught at both basic and secondary schools in the Northern and Ashanti Regions of Ghana before joining Kumasi Polytechnic where he rose through the ranks. Among the management positions he has held in the Polytechnic over the years include Head of Department for Mathematics and Statistics and Dean of faculty of Applied Sciences. He has also served and continue to serve on a number of committees at the management level.
