Biography

Basant Kumar Tiwary obtained Ph.D. from Bose Institute, Kolkata with specialization in Genetics and Endocrinology. He currently holds as an Associate Professor in Department of Bioinformatics, School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University. He has several achievements such as Visiting Associate Professor, The University of Chicago, USA (2007 - 2008) 2. DBT – Overseas Associateship in Niche Areas of Biotechnology (2006 - 2007) 3. Selected as Affiliate Member, Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge (2013 - 2014) 4. Expert Member in Computer Science/Bioinformatics, University Grants Commission, New Delhi (2015) 5. Coordinator, Bioinformatics National Certification (BINC) Program of Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
