Biography

Prof Baoling Huang received his BS and MS degrees in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University, Beijing in 1999 and 2001. He worked in industry from 2001 to 2004. In 2008, he received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for the research conducted in the Heat Transfer Physics Lab supervised by Prof Massoud Kaviany. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrance Berkeley National Laboratory. He joined the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2010. He has research experience on both theoretical modeling and experimental fabrications/measurements. His research interests are in the broad area of energy transport, conversion and storage.
