Biography

Dr Ayman Alaiwi holds a PhD (Communication) in Communication Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Electronic & Communication Engineering, both from the Engineering Technology Department in the School of Computing & Engineering, University of Huddersfield, UK. Dr Ayman joined Ahlia University in January 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Telecommunication Engineering Department, College of Engineering. He conducts research in the area of digital data transmission and detection, multi-carrier (MC) communication systems, use of ground as a transmission medium, extremely low frequency (ELF) band for civilian applications and carrier recovery systems.

Research Intrest

Dr Ayman Alaiwi’s research interests include: Use of FPGA/DSP to design and investigate to enhance Digital Communication links, communication engineering technologies and techniques, including OFDM, COFDM, WCDMA, HIPERLAB, ADSL, HDSL, WLAN, HSPDA, RDS, WiMAX, DAB, DVB, CDMA, TDMA, FDMA, 3G, LTE, UWB, RF, Microwave, Satellite, Mobile, etc, ground as a transmission medium over ELF, band Systems Engineering, Concealed Weapon Detection (CWD), Optical Wireless Communication (OWC)
