Dr. Athena Athanasiou is a professor of Department of Social Anthropology. He has authored various articles and books. He has teaching experience in Panteion University of Political Science. He has completed his Ph.D in Social and Cultural Anthropology from Panteion University at Greece. His research Interests are Social/political theory, gender studies, biopolitics, embodiment, memory, nationalism, affect, performativity, subjectivity, ideology, social movements, psychoanalysis, art, Greece, former Yugoslavia.
