Her main interests are the use of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues to study molecular and proteomic profiles of ocular diseases as well as the use of rodent and non-human primates to study of neuroglobin neuroprotection in ischemic ocular conditions. Dr Anita Chan specialises in ophthalmic pathology and animal models dealing with ischemia and hypoxia for the study of neuroprotection and oxidative stress. This is in addition to clinical research on inflammatory ocular disorders.
