"Prof. Asma Zaidi received her PhD in Biochemistry from Aligarh University during the period of 1991. Currently, she is working as Professor of Biochemistry in Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as Associate Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate, Postdoctoral Fellow, Visiting Scientist, Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow. Her research has included Brain Aging and Neurodegenerative Disorders, Neuronal Calcium Regulation, Oxidative Stress and Dietary Antioxidants, Lipid Raft Membrane Microdomains and Neuroprotective Agents. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as Betty Jo White Prize for Research (2012 and 2008), Travel Award (2001). She is serving as an editorial member and expert Reviewer for several reputed journals like Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, Biochemical Pharmacology, Antioxidants and Redox Signaling, Research Letters in Biochemistry, Neurotoxicology, Free Radical Biology and Medicine, Journal of Neurochemistry, Neurobiology of Aging, Neuropharmacology, Life Sciences, Current Proteomics, Research Letters in Biochemistry, Medical Science Monitor, Neuronal Regeneration Research, Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Toxicology In Vitro. She is a member of Member of the National Faculty of Biochemistry, National Board of Osteopathic Medical Education, National Scientific Advisory Council, Review Committee for 5 year review for Director of Mass Spectrometry, University of Kansas.
