Biography

Ashish Atreja, MD, MPH completed his internal medicine and gastroenterology training at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH and joined Mount Sinai Medical Center in July 2013. He has formal training and experience in public health and informatics. Dr. Atreja's clinical interests are inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, recurrent clostridium difficile infection, diarrhea, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), also referred to as stool transplant. Dr. Atreja believes in providing culturally-sensitive, patient-centered care through education, counseling and empowerment. He is currently accepting patients from New York Metropolitan area as well as out-of state referrals for second-opinion.
