Biography

Dr. Aparna Pareek has received her PhD. Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, University of Rajasthan.Her research project includes Studies of Medicinally Important Plants in Relation to Ethnobotanical Aspects of Kaladera Region 2007; Studies on biodiversity conservation and exploitation of plants in the rural areas of Jaipur district 2009. She have authored a book entitled Plant Tissue Culture Manual: Fundamentals & Applications in Biotechnology with a LK Pareek, Aavishkar Publishers and Distributors, Jaipur: 2012 ISSN: 978 - 81 - 7910 - 416 - 3. she is a member of Fellow Indian Botanical Society; Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association of India. She was Awarded Gold medal and Certificate of Merit for securing highest marks in Botany in B.Sc. Examination, 1996 conducted by University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Awarded Gold medal and Certificate of Merit for securing highest marks in Zoology in B.Sc. Examination, 1996 conducted by University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Awarded Gold medal and Certificate of Merit for securing highest marks and Ist Position in M.Sc. Botany Examination, 1998 conducted by University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Awarded First Prize by the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Jaipur Chapter on Environment Quiz Contest held on 7.11.; Selected for UGC Research Award for two years (August 2009-August 2011) Worked at present under the said award at the Department of Botany, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
