Dr. Antony Michael Dean pursued his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from University of Birmingham, UK. Immediately after his bachelors he carried out his Master in Normal Theoretical models of mutualism from 1981 - 1982 in Illinois State University. He then pursued his PhD study in Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Laboratory of Professor Daniel L Hartl and his major work is on Fitness of new amino acid substitutions. Later he carried out his Postdoctoral Fellow in YorkUniversity, Toronto, Laboratory of Professor Robert H Haynes for a year. Later he joined as an Assistant Professor in Department of Biological Chemistry, FinchUniversityof Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. After which he he became Associate Professor in the year 1998 in Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior, Universityof Minnesota. In 2007 He became Professor in Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior, Universityof Minnesota. After which he shifted to Sun-Yat-Sen University.
