Antoine Buyse is a professor of human rights in a multidisciplinary perspective and director of the Human Rights Study and Information Center (SIM). He provides education in the field of human rights within the department of law and human rights and conflicts at the Center for Conflict Studies. In addition, he is editor-in-chief of the Netherlands Quarterly of Human Rights, member of the editorial board of the Dutch Human Rights Journal, and manages a weblog on the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). He is co-trainer of the university focus area 'Cultures, Citizenship and Human Rights'
