Biography

I am geologist with over 20 years of experience in various fields including regional mapping, geochemistry, hydro- and engineering geology, sedimentology and seismic stratigraphy. I joined the UNAM geology department in 2008, reviewed and designed several geology curricula, and I have been heading the department from 2012 to 2015. My main interest is petroleum geology of Southern African offshore and onshore basins.
