Biography

He is working as an associate professor in Molecular Neurodegeneration (tenure track), Department of Neurobiology, A.I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences, University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio, Finland, 2015 - present.

Research Intrest

I am interested in understanding common and disease-specific molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD). Especially, we aim at identifying genes and molecular pathways involved in neurodegeneration in these disorders. I also am interested in the co-morbidities of neurodegenerative disorders and other diseases e.g. type 2 diabetes.
