Dr. Andrius Tamulis is active as the Associate Director of General Education, in the GSU Faculty Senate, and the Educational Policies Committee. These activities are an opportunity to serve the GSU community as welll as interact with colleagues, students, and administration outside of his division. He for several years now, has been going to Kansas City to help grade the AP Calculus exam. He also acted as a judge in the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics High School Regional Competition, at Lincoln Way East High School in Frankfort.
Dr. Andrius Tamulis research interests are knot theory, which is a branch of three- and four-dimensional topology, history of mathematics. Specifically, he is interested in the connections between mathematics and art in the early Renaissance, and in the mathematics of Albrecht Dürer in particular.
