Shirek will serve as a defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach for the Jimmies. He will also recruit the state of Wisconsin. Shirek has been a member of the North Dakota State strength and conditioning staff for three years. He also served as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Montana for one year and a performance specialist intern at EXOS Athletes Performance Institute in Phoenix. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and his master's degree from North Dakota State.
