Anastasios Zopiatis is Lecturer in the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management. He holds a BSc degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale, a M.Sc. degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and a Doctorate in Professional Studies from Middlesex University (U.K.). Prior to joining CUT, he worked in private tertiary education in Cyprus, both as hospitality and tourism educator and programme coordinator. He has also worked in Las Vegas as a Human Resources Specialist and as Beverage Manager. During his graduate studies, he worked as a research assistant at the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality Administration of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
His research interests include hospitality internship practices, hospitality human resources issues and ethics in the academic environment. His research work has been published in international journals such as the Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Education + Training, British Food Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, and Business Ethics: A European Review.
