Biography

She holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1984), a master's degree in Microbiology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1989), a PhD in Immunology from the University of São Paulo (1994) and a postdoctoral fellowship from Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA (1998-1999 and 2003). She was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy from September 2001 to February 2012. She was a member of the board of the Brazilian Society of Immunology, SBI (2011-2013), FAPEMIG Biological Sciences and Biotechnology Advisory Board (2011-2013) and was a member of the Immunology Advising Committee of CNPq (2012-2015). She is currently Full Professor of Immunology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He has experience in Immunology, with emphasis in Immunobiology, acting mainly in the following subjects: Immunology of Mucosa.

Nutrition Immunobiology, Oral Tolerance, Immunology of Mucosa, Immunobiology of Aging.
