Amrit Raj is specialised in using Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing for over 5 year`s experience in use of applications to support coastal hazard and risk mapping, marine habitat mapping, spatial-temporal modelling of vegetation change, shoreline change analysis and GIS databases by collecting and collating temporal and spatial data through remote sensing. Before he joined USP he was working for Geoscience Division, SPC (formerly known as SOPAC) as a Senior Technical Officer. Provide technical service in analysis, visualization spatial and non-spatial data and accountable for the manipulation and interpretation of data collected. Use of high precise Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for post-disaster and topographic surveys in the pacific region. Provide technical training and capacity building initiatives to ensure increased capacity in geospatial science and geoscience in the Pacific.
