Alfonso Reyes is a Physicist and Systems and Computing Engineer from the University of Los Andes. He has a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, USA and a PhD, in Management Cybernetics from the University of Humberside, Hull, UK. He also held a postdoctoral position at the University of Lincoln, England in organizational learning. In his working life, he has been professor in the Departments of Systems and Computing Engineering, Physics and Mathematics in the University of Los Andes, in the Pilot University of Colombia and in La Gran Colombia University. He was an advisor for the Ministry of Justice for the development of legal informatics. Alfonso was coordinator of the administration of justice area at the SER institute. He was an advisor to the Attorney General for the development and integration of information technologies in criminal investigation. At the University of Los Andes, Alfonso Reyes was the coordinator of the Master’s in Industrial Engineering, the Specialization in Organizational Control Systems, the Specialization in Telecommunications Company Management and in the Specialization in Information Systems in the Organizations. Since 2009, Reyes Alvarado was Rector of the University of Ibague, Colombia.
