Biography

Alexandre Barcelos Morais da Silveira currently working as Associate Professor of Human Anatomy at the Federal University of Uberlândia since 2008, has a postdoctoral degree from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (2009-2011) and the Research Center René Rachou - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2007-2008), Doctorate in Cell Biology by the Federal University of Minas Gerais and by The University of Melbourne - Australia (2006) and Master in Cell Biology by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2003). Currently works with the characterization of the human enteric nervous system and the influence of the immune system on the pathological processes of the gastrointestinal tract.
