Alexander Trompetas is Clinical Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School. Prof Trompetas holds a Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Ioannnina, Greece and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the London Business School. He achieved the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, (MRCGP), London and later he was awarded the Fellowship of the same College (FRCGP). He also holds a T(GP) (JCPTGP) for his specialist training in General Practice and he is on the GP Specialist Register in the UK. In addition he obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in HIV and Health Counselling, University of Surrey, the Postgraduate Certificate in Dementia for Practitioners with a Special Interest, University of Bradford and the ILTM (Membership of the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education), The Institute for learning and teaching in Higher education, UK. His areas of interest cover Musculoskeletal Medicine, Primary Care Minor Surgery and Chronic Multimorbidity in the Elderly including Dementia. In addition to his clinical interests he specialises in Health Business Administration and Management.
