Biography

Alejandro Loizaga is a specialist in the valuation of complex financial instruments, with extensive experience in managing investment portfolios and financial operations of debt instruments and structured vehicles. In the investment company of Banco Patagonia, he was in charge of the development and start-up of the investment fund business, with management responsibilities in the investment area, as well as the areas of operations and commercial areas.Previously, he was the investment manager of Lloyds TSB Bank and was in charge of the management of investment portfolios in the segments of money markets, structured debt, stocks and derivative financial instruments. During his career in the Lloyds group, he served as Head of Research and Economist of the Bank. Previously, he held positions in Banco Tornquist as a capital market analyst and Transportadora de Gas del Norte in financial planning areas.e is currently the General Manager of the Argentine Chamber of Mutual Funds. He is in charge of the subject Fixed Income Instruments that he has been dictating since 2002 in the Master of Finance at the University of San Andrés. He also serves as a specialist professor in charge of the Management and Banking Administration matters and the subject Financial Instruments of the Bachelor of Finance and the Major Program in Finance. He worked as a professor specializing in the subject Financial Instruments in the MBA. Since 2004, he is the academic coordinator of the Specialization and Master in Finance and the Major Program in Finance of the University of San Andrés. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, a Masters in Finance from UCEMA and is CFA Charteholder.
