Alcino Eduardo Bonella holds a master's degree (1995) and a doctorate (2000) in philosophy from the University of Capinas (UNICAMP), and postdoctoral studies in ethics at Oxford University (2005 and 2011). He is a Professor at the Philosophy Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia, where he has been researching and teaching Philosophy and Ethics since 1994. He works in the Philosophy undergraduate program, the Master's Program in Philosophy and the Doctorate and Master's Program in Health Sciences. oriented in the areas of metaethics, normative ethics and applied ethics. Investigates: rationality, normativity and value of life. He is a member of the International Association of Bioethics (IAB), the Brazilian Society of Bioethics (SBB), and the Center for the Study of Contemporary Thought (UFMG / UFU / USP / Oxford / Fapemig). He is a researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) since 2009.
