Biography

Alan R. Saltzman have been active in research, teaching, patient care and administration during my long career at UB’s school of medicine. His research has involved pulmonary mechanics and gas exchange, and my clinical care of patients has been in the pulmonary and critical care areas. After stepping down in September 2010 as chair of the department of medicine, he put my focus on teaching medical students during their pre-clinical years.
