Research Intrest

My research interest focuses on estimating the effect of risk factors and preventive interventions on non-communicable diseases (NCD) especially cardiovascular disease (CVD) incidence and mortality at the population level. I have experience of conducting various research projects related to NCD that include surveillance and community management of hypertension, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases and vascular events; worksite promotion to prevent CVD; smoking and mortality; indoor air pollution and its cardiopulmonary health effects; and risk factors of cancer. I am interested in applying advanced methods to evaluate efficacy of pharmacological and non-pharmacological (lifestyle and nutritional intervention) in the context of cardiovascular diseases and other non-communicable diseases.
