Professor Uche Agwagah (nee Okeke), is the last child of Late Mr. John D. Okeke and Late Mrs. Janet Okeke of Umuatulu village in Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka local government area of Anambra state. She got married to Late Mr. Emmanuel Emeka Agwagah of Umudunu village, Abagana in Njikoka local government area of Anambra state. The marriage is blessed with lovely children. Prof. Uche Agwagah obtained her first degree, B.Sc (ED.) in Mathematics Education in 1981 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Masters Degree, M.ED. in Measurement and Evaluation in 1985, from the same University and a PhD in Mathematics Education in 1993, from the same University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She got employed in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1991, as a lecturer in the Department of Science Education. She is now a Professor of Mathematics Education, a promotion she earned in 2002. She belongs to many professional associations.Professor Uche Agwagah has served as the National President of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (M.A.N), for a two-year term, 2012 – 2014. She has also served in many roles in the association over the years including as National Vice President, 2010 – 2012, National ex-officio member, 2003 – 2007, chairperson Enugu state Chapter of M.A.N, 2002 – 2006. She has also served in various other leadership positions such as, Associate Dean – Faculty of Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 2002-2004, Coordinator, Sub-Department of Science Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 2003-2005, President – University Women’s Association (UWA), U.N.N, 1997 – 2001, Vice President – University Women’s Association (UWA), 1995 – 1997, and Vice President – University of Nigeria Secondary School Nsukka P.T.A. 1998 – 2004.Professor Uche Agwagah has attended many international and national conferences and has produced over 70 publications.
