Dr.Adriano Monteiro de Castro Pimenta graduated in Biological Sciences by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Bachelor in Zoology) in 1994 and PhD in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology) by the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 1999. Postdoctoral degree at the Université de la Mediterranée (IFR Jean Roche, Marseille , France) between 1999 and 2001 and at UFMG between 2001 and 2004. Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta (Canada) between 2013 and 2014. He is currently Associate Professor III of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Department of Biochemistry and Immunology). He was Advisory Committee of the area of ​​Biological and Agrarian Sciences - UFMG.
