Biography

Dr. Adrian Yong Sze Wai graduated from medical school in the prestigious Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2006 with a double degree BSc(Hons) and MBBS(London). He went on to complete his housemanship in Royal Free Hospital, London and Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals in North London. He progressed to basic physician training in North Bristol NHS Trust, United Kingdom where he completed his Membership of the Royal College of Physician Examinations in 2009. Through a competitive selection process, he attained a training position in the much sought after Eastern Deanery where he underwent higher specialist training in Dermatology between 2010 and 2014. His training included clinical rotations, combined clinic cases, national presentation of interesting clinical cases and honorary attachments to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the reputable St John's Institute of Dermatology in London. He was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training in Dermatology upon completion of the Specialty Certificate Examination in Dermatology culminating in him being conferred the postnominal MRCP(UK)(Dermatology) in June 2014 ahead of his predicted completion date in August 2014. He then went on to work as a Consultant Dermatologist in the United Kingdom in Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and James Paget University Hospitals until very recently when he relocated to University Malaya Medical and Specialist Centres, Kuala Lumpur.

Research Intrest

procedural Dermatology (surgical and minimally invasive injectables) with a focus on cosmetic, pigmentary disorders and skin cancers.
