Biography

A/Prof Adam Scheinberg is a paediatric rehabilitation specialist who worked in Sydney at The Children's Hospital Westmead before moving to Melbourne in 2009 as the Statewide Medical Director of the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) . The VPRS provides time-limited, goal-focused services to children and adolescents following illness or injury. It is one of the largest paediatric rehabilitation services in Australia with eight sites around Victoria. As the medical director, Associate Professor Scheinberg is involved in ensuring best practice treatment and translation of clinical research into services provided by the VPRS. A/Prof Scheinberg is the immediate past president of the Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AusACPDM) and has been on the scientific and organising committees for most of the academy's biennial conferences. He is on the Paediatric Rehabilitation Training Committee and teaches and examines for the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
