Biography

Dr. Abdulbaki has received his PhD in Biochemistry from University of Szeged University during the period of 1988. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Courtesy Assistant Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate, Director, Postdoctoral Fellow, UNESCO Fellow, Research Officer, and Instructor. His Research has included-Effect of oxaloacetate in lifespan of ALS-model mouse, Development of Biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Mitochondrial Bioenergetics in Neurodegeneration, Zinc Homeostatis in Motorneurons, Molecular Biology of Aging and Neurodegeneration. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as Molecular Biology of Aging course, International Training Course Fellowship in Modern Biology, Travel Award. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals & expert Reviewer for journals like Differentiation, Biology of the Cell (Elsevier/France) and book reviewer for Cell adhesion and human diseases, External Reviewer for Dr. Khalid Huamid Al-Rasadi, Sultan Qaboos University. He has authored research articles and is a member of American Society for Cell Biology legislative committee, Selection Committee for hiring Research Assistant, The Kansas City Consortium on Musculoskeletal Diseases and Disorders society, The Heartland Center for Mitochondria Medicine.
