"My interest in psychology started in a cross-cultural context, after I moved from Tokyo to New York City in 1995. Since then, my interests and practice have been always more or less influenced by cultural differences and diversity; I frequently work with people from different cultures. My education and training in psychology was in the United States at New York Univ. and The New School for Social Research. I came back to Tokyo in 2009. At this moment I see mostly adult clients (about between age 20-50) whose problem areas are relationship/intimacy, anxiety, depression, addiction, parenting, cultural adjustment, among other things at Natural Resource in Shibuya, Tokyo and in my small private practice. I also have some experience with children and adolescents but not so extensively. I work bilingually, both in Japanese and in English. The ethnic groups I have worked with include: Latino, African, Caucasian, Indian, Irish, Japanese (in Japan and abroad). I have had continuous interests in dreams that have been developed mostly at International Association for the Studies of Dreams (IASD), for which now I serve as a Board of Director. I am also a member of Japanese Society of Transcultural Psychiatry."
