Biography

Stephanie graduated with a diploma in Kinesiology from Holland College in 2014, and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2016. She is also a Registered Kinesiologist with the Ontario Kinesiology Association. She spent two years of her undergrad volunteering with the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy program helping conduct research on the current condition of the physical literacy levels in children 8-12 years old. During her schooling years she was actively involved in working with the numerous varsity teams as a Strength & Conditioning coach, as well as an Athletic Therapist Aide, with a special interest in aqua therapy. With this background, Stephanie is able to work with anyone recovering from an injury to those athletes wishing to improve their performance. She can create training programs for a variety of individuals whether they are recovering from specific injuries, pre/post surgery, or those just looking to lose some weight and get active! Stephanie moved from small town PEI to the big city of Ottawa after graduation in 2016 to pursue her career as a Kinesiologist. She started out as a Physio Assistant with the Back On Track team in September, and has most recently made the move to our Manotick location as their resident Kinesiologist. Stephanie brings an open, adaptable and creative approach to her workouts that focus on the client’s specific injuries and goals. She enjoys expanding her practical skills and knowledge by constantly learning new treatment methods and techniques to further benefit her clients. When she is not helping others achieve their goals, Stephanie can be found working on her own goals at Crossfit, sweating it out at hot yoga, swimming and riding her horse. Stephanie is very enthusiastic about joining the Back On Track team at Manotick and is looking forward to making a significant impact on client’s health and lifestyles.
