Klonizakis was born in Thessaloniki and graduated from the medical school of the Aristotle University in 2002. He received the title of Hematologist in 2012 following an exercise at the 2nd Clinical Pathological and B Pretreatment Pathological Clinic of the Aristotle University in Ippokratio Hospital of Thessaloniki . He is a Ph.D. student with postgraduate studies in clinical research at Newcastle University, England. He has published work on blood disorders or thrombosis factors in Greek and international scientific journals. Since 2004 he has been working as a scientific associate in the Department of Hematology of the 2nd Department of Pathology at the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki, with main subjects the education of students and the conduct of clinical and research protocols. He is a member of the Greek and European hematology company as well as the Greek Immunological Society
