Nikos Tsioumas is Athens-based ophthalmologist and eye surgeon in private practice, specializing in glaucoma, cataract microsurgery, laser refractive surgery and vitrorenital surgery. Nikos Tsioumas was awarded his medical degree from the University of Modena in Italy in 1995 and specialized in Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmological Clinic of the Department of Ophthalmology Neurosensory Pathology at the University of Modena in Italy. He specialized in glaucoma and refractive surgery. Since 2004, the vitroretinal surgery is another area of interest. In the past, the doctor has collaborated with many centers such the Department of Ophthalmology of the "ELPIS" hospital, the "ORASIS" Eye Center, the Ophthalmological Center of Athens, the LaserVision Institute, Mitera Hospital, Athens Medical Center and Mediterraneo Hospital. Today, Nikos Tsioumas is a key member of the Athens Eye Hospital medical team and is responsible for the Glaucoma Department and the Vitroretinal Surgery Department.
