He was born in Athens and studied medicine in Larissa (University of Thessaly). He specialized in anesthesiology at St. Savvas and in Great Britain, where he completed his specialty and from 2004 he worked as a specialist anesthetist in general surgeries, obstetric anesthesia and intensive care unit. From 2005 to 2007, he specialized in cardiac surgical anesthesia at the Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital in the UK. In 2007, returning to Greece, he worked in the private sector mainly in adult cardiovascular events. From 2008 to 2011, he worked at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, in the Children and Related Heart Disease Division. For this purpose he received additional training in cardiac surgical anesthesia of congenital heart disease at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where he also worked as a specialist anesthetist. Since 2011 he has been working in the private sector again. He collaborates in cardiac and surgical cases of adults in various Athens clinics, in ophthalmological cases of adults and children at Athens Eye Hospital, and works as an anaesthesiologist in the pediatric clinic of Mother's Hospital. He holds a European patent of anesthesia and intensive care, a member of the Royal Anesthesiology College of Great Britain, and has done postgraduate studies in pain management at Leicester University, Great Britain
