Biography

Javad AKBARI received his Bachelors degree from the Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran), School of Mechanical Engineering in 1985, his Master from the Utsunomiya University (Utsunomiya, Japan) in 1990 and his Ph.D. from Chiba University (Chiba, Japan) in 1993. During 1993-95 he was a staff of Seiko Instruments Inc. He spent five years as an Assistant Professor at School of Mechanical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology. Then he became an Associate Professor in Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2000. He returned to Sharif University again in 2003 and to his previous position.

Research Intrest

Micro-accelerometer Design and Simulation, Wire EDM of Superalloys, Machining of Shape-Memory Alloys, Ultrasonic Assisted Injection Molding, Ultrasonic-Assisted Machining, Tool Path Generation, Wave Propagation in Carbon Nano-tubes, Die Polishing, Super Alloy Machining, Hydrostatic Linear Bearing, Bore accuracy in honing process.
