Biography

 France Lacoursiere graduated in 2002 from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and initially joined the Back on Track team in 2004.  She has spent the last three years in Cape Breton and is delighted to be back in Ottawa. France’s current professional interests include manual therapy, acupuncture and vestibular rehabilitation.  Vestibular rehabilitation treats symptoms including but not limited to, dizziness, vertigo and loss of balance caused by inner ear disorders.  France has completed her level three manual therapy courses from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and an introductory course in acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Having worked in various settings during her career, France brings a vast amount of knowledge and extensive experience with acute and chronic orthopaedic injuries.  She believes in practicing with a hands on approach as her treatment of choice. Areas of interest include acute lower extremity injuries, manual therapy and sports injuries, focusing in on a safe return to the sport. France enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, soccer and curling.  In addition, she adores spending quality time with her four children.
