Biography

Eva Billstedt is a psychologist, Associate Professor of child and adolescent psychiatry and a clinical lecturer. Eva has been clinically active at the Child Neuropsychiatry Clinic for over 20 years. She has also done institutional work in child health care and adolescent care. She put forward her dissertation in 2007, which addressed autism and the use of the DISCO protocol in studies on autism. Her fields of research include neuropsychiatric disabilities, both in clinical (Asperger's syndrome/autism) and in non-clinical populations (youths convicted of violent crimes), the latter in collaboration with the research group FNP (Forensic Neuropsychiatry) at the University of Gothenburg. She also works together with the research group Neuropsychiatric Epidemiology at the University of Gothenburg, focusing on personality aspects in population studies. Eva has published around 40 peer-reviewed scientific works, primarily concerning autism. She supervises several PhD students at GNC.
