His current activities focus on training and educating the life science community to use bioinformatics resources for the analysis and interpretation of biological data. He collaborates with academic scientists, industrial partners and educational bodies worldwide in order to understand the needs of the research community for bioinformatics training and I promote the organization of courses that specifically address such needs, often with the support of external funding agencies. I seek to understand what life scientists expect from bioinformatics services and use this insight to coordinate the development of new tools and resources.
