Biography

Daniel Zivony, MD received his undergraduate degree at Emory University and his medical degree at Ohio State University. This was followed by his dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Colorado and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery at the Center for Surgical Dermatology in Columbus, Ohio. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and the American Board of Dermatopathology. Dr. Zivony taught and practiced dermatology as a full-time faculty member at Emory University from 1999-2001, where he received recognition for teaching excellence. He is widely published in medical journals and text books. Dr. Zivony has lectured extensively in the Asheville area. He has been interviewed on several occasions by local and national publications. He is an active member of the Buncombe County Medical Society, and serves on the Buncombe County Medical Board.
