Biography

Dr Vishendran Govindasamy is Head of Surgery at Greys Hospital. He is involved in academic support to department of general surgery at UKZN with assistance in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and examinations. He is actively involved in organizing 4thyear undergraduate programme in Pietermaritzburg and also involved in 4th and 5th year examinations. He is responsible for registrar training programme for registrars in the Pietermaritzburg Metropolitan Complex and also involved in academic programme of Department of surgery at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine and Department of Paediatric Surgery at Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital. He completed TRAIN THE TRAINERS course offered by WGO-OMGE in Port Elizabeth 2006.
