In 2012, Vincent Daien passes the European Board of Ophthalmology and his thesis. In addition to work in epidemiology in Montpellier (in January 2014 he obtained a doctorate in bio-statistics and epidemiology), Vincent Daien is a hospital practitioner, still in Montpellier. He is interested in anterior segment surgeries, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. In April 2016, he obtained the authorization to conduct research. Since May 2016, Vincent Daien has put his skills into practice, doing a year of research in Sydney, at the "Save Sight Instutite" and participates in this title at the Fight Retinal Blindness Project. Vincent Daien has published numerous articles in epidemiology, and from his experience, we asked him to come and talk to us about the use of "big data", and epidemiology in ophthalmology.
