She immigrated to New Zealand in 1991 and completed her postgraduate physician training in Wellington and Auckland Hospitals.Her advanced dermatology specialty training was undertaken at the Department of Dermatology at Auckland Hospital for two years. She then undertook a one year Dermatology Fellowship at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, UK where she received specialist training in MOHS micrographic surgery, blistering skin conditions, patch testing, vulval conditions and hair and nail conditions.
