Dr. Susan Aucott is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include neonatology. She has an active role in the clinical leadership in the Division of Neonatology, where she is the medical director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Aucott has also served as the director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Training Program previously. Dr. Aucott is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and earned her M.D. at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her residency, chief residency and neonatal fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Her research interests include bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and risk factors associated with the condition such as patent ductus arteriosis and adrenal insufficiency. Dr. Aucott serves on the executive committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Neonatal Perinatal Medicine. She is additionally serving on the Committee on Fetus and Newborn of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
