Doctor,topclass surgeon, laureate of the GovernmentPrize of Ukraine for Science and Technology. Head of restorative microsurgery and tissue transplantation department at the A. Shalimov National Surgery and Transplantation Institute of the Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine.Professor of burns and plastic surgery department at P. Shupyk National Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education. Vice President of the Ukrainian National Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons. Prof Halych has done several fellowships in various areas of plastic surgery: in France (Paris, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2009) and the USA (Louisville, 2005). He has over 240 scientific publications (including 4 monographs on various areas of plastic surgery) and over 45 invention certificates.
