Dr. Alinsod graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his OB/GYN residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1990. He was the first Rutledge Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer and Tumor Institute and was also accepted as a Galloway Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center. While heading the Gynecologic Services at George Air Force Base (Calif.) and Nellis Air Force Base (Nev.) he concentrated on benign gynecology, urogynecology, and pelvic surgery. Dr. Alinsod was able to train extensively in hysteroscopic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, receiving the first Certificate #20 from the Accreditation Council of Gynecologic Endoscopy in Nevada. Dr. Alinsod left the Air Force in 1994 and in 2004 he was recruited to Laguna Beach, Calif. He has trained residents and fellows from numerous world-class institutions as well as preceptor a large cadre of physicians in both reconstructive and aesthetic vulvovaginal surgery. Dr. Alisod’s focus on labial and vaginal surgery to improve patient lives has led to innovations in surgery and technology that has greatly impacted how vulvovaginal surgery is performed worldwide. He is currently focused on non-surgical vulvovaginal therapies.
