Dr. Emilio Paolo Visintin is currently a PostDoc at the University of Lausanne, working on the project of Interethnic Relations in Bulgaria. He obtained his PhD in Social and Personality Psychology at the University of Padova in March 2013, with a thesis on the relationship between intergroup and prejudice toward immigrants in Italy, unde the supervision of Professor Alberto Voci. His main research interests lie in the field of intergroup relations and prejudice reduction, and, more specifically, he is interested in the relationship between different forms of direct and indirect intergroup contact and intergroup attitudes, the emotional processes involved in intergroup encounters, and in both blatant and subtle forms of prejudice and discrimination. He has deep knowledge and experience in conducting correlational and experimental studies and in data analysis. He has published scientific papers in international journals, and has attended international conferences. He is full member of the European Association of Social Psychology.
