He is currently the Head of the Gastroenterology Department, at Peristeri Iatropolis Medical Centre, in Athens, and also works as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, at North Wales NHS Trust (Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital). In addition, he closely collaborates with multiple private hospitals, and holds a private surgery in Athens. He performs more than 2000 upper and lower GI tract endoscopy procedures per year. He is also very experienced in ERCP’s, and endoscopic Ultrasound procedures. He gained his postgraduated training in Radiology, at G.Genimatas General Hospital in Athens. In addition, he is a very experienced hepatologist and has worked as a Medical Manager in Roche Hellas Company. Finally, he has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients. Dr Apostolou has had his General Medicine and Gastroenterology training in UK (Southport & Ormskirk NHS Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital in Manchester, Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals in Liverpool, Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in North Wales), and Athens (Evaggelismos Hospital).
