Biography

I joined the University of Huddersfield in 2005 as a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing from Leeds Metropolitan University. I qualified as an enrolled nurse in 1982 having undertaken my pupil nurse training at the York School of Nursing, I undertook a certificate in education at Leeds University to become a Registered Adult Nurse, followed by a BHSc Nursing Studies (also at Leeds University). I have clinical experience in phycogeriatric admissions and assessment, acute medicine and acute care of the older person. I undertook a Masters in Health Professional Education and a PhD at the University of Huddersfield.

Work related to healthcare / nursing ethics Compassion Professionalism Aspects of health professional education Recruitment and selection of preregistration nursing students Mindfulness for health and wellbeing / pain management.
